Hello! My name is Jamie Howel, and I am a graduate of Ball State University. I majored in Telecommunications and Journalism, with a focus on Video Production and Photo Journalism and a minor in Spanish Language. I am currently back at Ball State for a Master's in Journalism with a concentration in Reporting and storytelling.

I currently work in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as a Product Photographer for Sweetwater Sound, the #1 online retailer of Pro Audio and Musical Equipment in the United States. I also do Freelance photo and video work on the side.

While at Ball State I actively participated in six organizations, three of which I lead, that earned me experience in news, TV, talk shows, documentaries, podcasts, and photo works.

In the spring of 2022, I got the opportunity to work on Match Point 2.0: The Rise of HBCU Men's Volleyball. In partnership with USA Volleyball and First Point Foundation, I was an Assistant Director, Assistant Editor, and Videographer for this second installment in the Match Point Documentary Series.

I have done freelance video and photo work since 2018, focusing on short-form videos and photo sessions for grads, families, couples, etc.

I started my industry journey in Indianapolis, Indiana working on HGTV's Good Bones as a Production Assistant. I also worked on Season 5 of Music in Transit as a Camera Operator in collaboration with the Indy Go Bus System and Total Fun Productions.

When not working I enjoy reading, playing piano, taking photos, and spending time with my family.
